NRS Information Security Transformation: A Milestone of Excellence
On the 17th of April 2026, NRS recorded a significant milestone in its information security journey, another successful surveillance audit with zero minor and major non-conformities. This achievement not only reflects the organization’s growing maturity but also provides an opportunity to reflect on a journey that has been years in the making.
NRS’s transformation journey began in 2019 with a clear vision to institutionalize information security best practices across the organization. Through a structured and sustained approach, this vision materialized in 2021 with the successful attainment of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification of the NRS EOI Center, marking the establishment of a robust Information Security Management System (ISMS) aligned with global standards.
Since then, NRS has demonstrated consistency and resilience in maintaining and strengthening its information security posture. The organization has successfully completed four surveillance audits, in addition to a transition and recertification to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 all with no major or minor non-conformities. Each audit cycle has reinforced not just compliance, but a culture of continuous improvement.
A key driver of this success has been NRS’s investment in its people. Over 300 staff members have been trained and developed across critical areas including risk management, cybersecurity, business continuity, incident management, and information security. This has ensured that information security is embedded not only in systems and processes, but also in everyday operations and decision-making.
iCentra is proud to have been a transformation partner on this journey, supporting NRS from the early advisory stages in 2019 through to certification, surveillance, and recertification. Our role has spanned the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the ISMS, helping to institutionalize sustainable, globally aligned information security practices within the organization.
This milestone would not have been possible without the strong commitment of NRS leadership. Their consistent buy-in, strategic direction, and support have been instrumental in driving this transformation and sustaining its success over time.
As NRS continues to build on this foundation, the April 2026 surveillance audit stands not just as a result, but as a reflection of a deliberate journey, one defined by vision, partnership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
