PMI Nigeria Hosts Insightful June Chapter Meeting on Project Leadership in Abuja 

The PMI Nigeria Chapter brought together project professionals and transformation leaders from across the country on the 3rd of June 2025 for its chapter meeting, held in Abuja. Themed “Purpose. Passion. Impact. –Project Leadership in an Era of Transformation,” the session featured a keynote address by Taopheek Babayeju, PMI Eric Jenett Person of the Year and CEO of iCentra. 

The PMI Nigeria Chapter convened project professionals, thought leaders, professionals, and transformation leaders for its June Chapter Meeting on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Abuja. Themed “Purpose. Passion. Impact. – Project Leadership in an Era of Transformation,” the event featured a keynote address by Taopheek Babayeju, CEO of iCentra and recipient of the 2024 PMI Eric Jenett Person of the Year Award. 

Attendees from diverse sectors gathered to explore the evolving demands of leadership in today’s dynamic project environment. In his keynote, Babayeju underscored the power of aligning personal purpose with professional passion to create meaningful, lasting impact. 

“It’s not just about following your passion,” he said. “It’s about bringing your passion to your purpose—infusing your work with the energy, creativity, and values that matter most to you.” 

The interactive session inspired lively dialogue around leadership development, navigating complexity, and staying grounded in purpose during times of transformation. 

One participant shared: “What stood out to me was the emphasis on strategic leadership and the importance of influencing with authority. It was both practical and inspiring.” 

The event also featured a fireside chat with PMI Nigeria’s Vice President of Professional Development, Mr. Festus Ekpen, and offered networking opportunities that fostered peer learning and community engagement. Attendees earned 1.5 Professional Development Units (PDUs). 

In a  closing remarks, PMI Nigeria’s Vice President of Communications, Mr. Oluwafemi Adelekan, encouraged members to register for the upcoming PMI Nigeria 2025 Annual Conference, scheduled for June 18–20, 2026.
