Project: Establishment of Enterprise Project/Programme Management Function in the CBN (2015 -2016)
Description of Project:
The Central Bank of Nigeria in its quest to entrench project/programme management culture within the Bank decides to set up an Enterprise Programme Management (EPM) System within the Bank. To ensure that all project stakeholders use adequate knowledge, tools, techniques and uniform standards required to deliver projects/initiatives to meet the expected economic value.
• Lack of uniformity of methods and methodology for project delivery across the enterprise.
• Difficulty aligning projects and portfolios with organisational objectives.
• Difficulty achieving consensus among competing stakeholders regarding project priorities.
What We Did:
Conducted OPM assessment, current state and change readiness in the Bank.
Implemented Change Management strategic action plan.
Identified gaps, designed PM processes, templates and framework.
Developed the EPM functions implementation blueprint for the Bank.
Provided capacity support through mentoring and coaching of process owners.
Designed sustainability strategy: KPIs and metrics system, continuous improvement framework.
Standard and structured framework for project management.
Enhanced project visibility at Management level.
An enterprise view of projects in the Bank.
Alignment of projects and programs to strategy.
Eradication of project duplication and project silos.
